Or from Google? ;)

well theres always that possibility... ;)

I thought the club would never get taken!

I can see all the others... I think of country towns, the pub is always in the centre of life, and the centre of town - the central - then theres always the 'other' pub at the train station, the railway - can see the exchange being in farming and agricultural areas - then you get all your colonial or royal rooted ones

I didn't guess the most popular ones as such - I just guessed ones that I'd been to that sounded old and traditional and not new agey!

Railway would have been my first guess as I'm pretty sure I've been to 3 in Melbourne and live near a 4th

I read somewhere that back in the day if a royal like the king or prince had visited a pub, it was renamed 'the royal', apparently Albert loved a drink..

Or a link to colonial communications — hotels were set up on transport routes and, before the introduction of rail, goods and people were moved by coach.

If Those coaches carried the mail; the Royal Mail. Maybe those many Royal Hotels were the official coach stops on the mail run.

Location is a big name giver... if it was at a railway terminus it was called the railway if it was near a river and ferry stop it was called the Punt Hotel, central being central.. the northen?

Another theory for the name is that Royal Hotels were where Royalty stayed when they visited Australia - but.. that's a lot of stays!

Hahn Super Dry is rubbish. Low carb, tasteless swill.

Hahm Premium is actually half okay as a proper lager, but I haven't seen it in ages; I'm not sure if it's even made anymore.

I visited my parents the other week, was fanging for a beer post 4 hour drive... opened the fridge to find Aldi beers.. dad pls

The storm wasn't unpleasant, the St Etienne, eh ok

was just like drinking aldi - something not quite right but still functional

It's crap. You may as well cop the 5% extra carb and drink something that actually has discernible flavour.

it reminds me of Mcdonalds.. its bad for you, everyone knows its bad for you so you just don't go that much, just enjoy it when you do... then the people who have zero personal accountability get involved.. the pc police get involved - mcdonalds gets on the back foot all scared and starts producing all this tripe.. they don't even know what they are any more? salad and apple bags? pls

leave beer alone, we know its bad for us, let us regulate our usage instead of trying to find angles to make it good.. if I wanted a gluton free low carb drink id have soy milk

Gluten free tastes shit but there is actually a place for it I guess, because there are people that have a genuine (not imagined like some others) intolerance to it.

Low carb? Utterly pointless.

is gluton actually in beers normally though? I assume its in the wheat beers but maybe not all beers by default - id reckon a lot of beers are probably gluton free but its not marketed as such.

id like to know though

Not sure - but it wouldn't surprise me if there are at least incidental trace amounts in most.
