I've said before that my ideal season is English spring, one of the good ones where they start the County Championship on time, that would do me all year round

I love early Irish Autumn, before the first frost.

But I could never return home because of Jan 2nd to St Patricks Day. It's cold, windy, dark, wet and actually freezing. No holidays

Yes, I grew up in Melbourne, where dry 39 was survivable, whereas here, 30 with humidity kills you.

A lot of Victoria had one of those weird nights when the northerly kicked in and the temperature shot up.
The temperature at the Moorabbin Airport increased 8 degrees from 12am to 6am!!

Not so much the temperature but the humidity - 78% right now. Haven’t yet put on the air con but fans going overnight and today.
