seems to be a lot of upset BF folk in this thread. Has he made the wrong decision guys?
No Mxett I think you should always give peace a chance! A decision to not continue his "WAR against ASADA" is the right decision.

i just want him to admit he was wrong or back up his words with actions. either accept and admit that various judges know better than him and that the investigation was lawful, or stick to his convictions and fight it all the way if he is adamant it was unlawful. he has done neither.

He made the wrong decision and not do what the club did and give up after the first Federal ruling
He made the wrong decision to continue in the job.
He made the wrong decision backing the AFL to make it all go away.
He made the wrong decision asking Corcoran to use his UN skills.
He made the wrong decision to meet with Dank & Robinson on the Gold Coast and not say: "get ****ed"
He made the wrong decision declaring that Corcoran be let back into the club
He made the wrong decision to get off of the Couch
He made the wrong decision to comment weekly on the plight of his former club in an authoritative manner

Your pick how far you go back and say enough is enough and cut your losses.

he is entitled to his opinion irrespective of the courts decision

By stopping his this independent, of the club and players stuff...yes. He is still coaching them, needed to either resign and go the whole Hog or toe the line. Neither of those options are as popular as trying to have your cake and eat it too but they are the most realistic.

good to hear. i wonder why there are so many unhappy people then?

From his point of view (and is there another in EFC) yep. This was not about the rights of the players. The evidence is before the Tribunal - if he ever meant it was about players he would have persisted. If they do get suspended, a win in the HC would be tops. This is about some other component of evidence specific to Hird that is making him more edgy then the player suspensions - and it's too late to suppress whatever it is...

of course he is. so he should continue the fight or give a decent reason for changing his actions. he went to court to fight for the players. now he is stopping it for the players. it's rubbish. we both know he is stopping because he got legal advice that an appeal has no hope and he doesn't want more costs orders. it is nothing to do with the players.
