he is entitled to his opinion irrespective of the courts decision

good to hear. i wonder why there are so many unhappy people then?

From a shits and giggles sense it would have been fun. It might not be for you but from on an onlookers perspective its amazing to see how much cash can be thrown at frivolous poorly thought out exercises.

It's that train wreck thing.

of course he is. so he should continue the fight or give a decent reason for changing his actions. he went to court to fight for the players. now he is stopping it for the players. it's rubbish. we both know he is stopping because he got legal advice that an appeal has no hope and he doesn't want more costs orders. it is nothing to do with the players.
Not appealing because a win in an appeal is unlikely is hardly an unreasonable decision

seems to be a lot of upset BF folk in this thread. Has he made the wrong decision guys?

Yes. We have been assured the investigation is unlawful and James was fighting for every little sports club around Australia.
He owed it to everyone from the canteen lady to the boot studders to keep the fight going against this injustice.
He simply had to appeal for us all. Who will be the next victim of this conspiracy?

Of course he didn't take it to the high court. He already knows the investigation was illegal and that the players were denied constitutional rights. It would be beneath him to test this claim before a legal authority as lowly as the full high court of Australia.

Yeah, let's laud him for making a correct decision after wasting millions of dollars, giving the rather unfortunate supporter base a false hope and making them look like utter cretins in the process and making sure the players have absolutely no chance of cutting deals :thumbsu:

As the saying goes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but no one is entitled to their own facts. Court case and appeal later and the legality of the investigation has progressed from opinion to fact.
