Kochie is OK in small doses. Once a month or thereabouts.
I reckon Agro should get brought back. Do you reckon the female hosts (Biggar, Livingstone, Brisley et al) ever treated Jamie Dunn by wearing a skirt with no underwear?

Back in the day Today was worth watching, topical and a good news service. Seven realised they couldn't beat them that way so went with the Sunrise format, with a different frontman than Koch who was then doing the financial news. However the original frontman (his name escapes me) had all the personality of a tree stump (and I apologise to tree stumps everywhere for that) so after he left on sick leave (Cancer) Koch came in and the ratings began to climb. It was even watchable for awhile. Soon, seven were in sight of overhauling of nine so Today resorted to craptacular competitions with great prizes. Truly some of the worst tv followed, on a par with hot dogs late night show when Steve Liebmann attempted to be animated whilst giving away cars etc.
Sunrise finally overhauled Today but with it went any credibility, as puff pieces and special guests ruled and the hosts resembled a gigantic sleepover every morning. Nine responded by moving sets, and firing Liebmann and bringing in Stefanovic and keeping the plastic Grimshaw. Now appearing as a B Grade Sunrise with the truly awful Richard Wilkins has meant both shows are not screened in my household.
I know its good to be chirpy in the mornings but please...after half an hour of watching either I'm polishing rifles and thinking of which tower would be the best snipers nest.

Back to talkback radio for me...and thats another story.

Just remembered, the guy from Comedy Inc did a dead on impersonation of Koch, even the voice was brilliantly done. About the only time I've laughed during Sunrise.
David Koch tries to come across as the all-round good-guy family man looking out for the little guy, but in reality he is a greedy finance man who is holding up the banner as the Liberal Party runs on to the ground.
Melissa Doyle has no credibility whatsoever.
Over at 9, Karl Stefanovic is purely and simply a toothpaste commercial.
Steve Liebmann is sorely missed. When he was reading the cue cards, he imparted the notion that he was genuinely interested in the subject matter. Conservative, yes, but authentic - and despite his conservatism, with his own personality.
Tracy Grimshaw flounders now she is the senior partner.

Before work, I avoid both, and just sleep in. Kochy is annoying and tries desperately to be funny, but his jokes just don't work, while Karl is a trying as hard as he can to be a carbon copy of him on the other network. And what's with all the nicknames on Sunrise? Kochy, Beretts, Nat, Mel, give it a rest, and then there's the weatherman.... just turn it off.

Just who is their target demographic ? Is there any group that actually finds them funny/sexy/appealing in any shape or form ? At least if you stick a good looking girl (or guy for female viewers I suppose) doing the weather you get the perve factor bringing in viewers.
