Roo shouldn’t have said anything this week when he was asked the question that led to all of this..

But

Greenwood should’ve just kept quiet.. Roo never once said he wasn’t a good player.. just that his age and speed didn’t justify the crows, as a rebuilding club, paying a heap more money to keep him.. would’ve been a silly decision.

he was just telling it as it is when asked..

And Roo is a 300+ gamer, Brownlow medalist, premiership player and 8 x All Australian...

What’s Greenwood got in his cabinet at home when it comes to footy?..

And its not like his performance today was the match winner.. its the same stuff he used to dish up at the crows for the last few years.. heaps of tackles, some good moments but not really anything that would win him a Brownlow..

He’ll go quiet for a few games, like he did every single season playing for us, and he’ll be dropped back to the seconds.. you’d almost put your life savings on it..

I honestly believe it was his team mates that made Laird look good through their pressure when he was all Australian. The guy is such an unaccountable defender it's embarrassing.

Also when was the last time we saw MCrouch dive on a ball or tackle? At least Brad actually put some effort in. If anything, those roles should be reversed as Matt has no speed whatsoever, why the F$#% is he playing as what looks like an outside midfielder?

In the press conference Nick's talked about how bad the midfield was and referenced everything except the actual answer... The players.

Perhaps the reason it is woeful is because this group of midfielders are plain crap.

Its clear hes that personality and leader who thinks he knows everything, doesn't respect or care for the opinions of others, will attack anyone who slights him even slightly and will give jobs to mates and yes men and get rid of anyone who would challenge him.

Not the kind of person you want in charge...not hard to imagine that environment causing ex players to not like the club...pretty clear with performances many current players feel the same, they just wouldn't voice it publicly.

I.e. Greenwood would influence games for us but get dropped due to “fitness”. Meanwhile DMac plays 200 non statistical games because by Christ he prepares well.

Well they are not helping their careers. Some of them are literally costing themselves hundreds of thousands of dollars in future contracts at other clubs. They should understand this.

"shortened" = 16-minute quarters = 16 mins less playing time, thankfully. Mercifully.
I didn't realise 1st quarter was 25 mins. Are you sure? (btw, it was 2.7 to zip at quarter time).
