Good - I have finally realised that to get a game at AFC you just have to try really hard even if it's ineffective key suspects Murphy and O'Brien -at the age of 55 I may still get a game.

Bad - Atkins [actually saved by injury} Lynch Captain brain fade , Walker it's been long enough when was his last good game? Murphy offers nothing, Atkins god knows how he has been allowed to get to 100 games, Crouch bros. look like they are in slow motion, Laird oh my how far he has fallen at least he's consistent both his handballs and kicks are hail marys.

Ugly -watching Fog and Walker try to ruck against giants - it is embarrassingly bad - smashed in clearances - crap game plan.

Hamill did a few nice things, looked clean, daring with his ball use and reasonable pace. Not sure I'd watch purely for it though.

GC drafted King, Lukosius etc then Rowell and Anderson.
2019 and 2020 is the KPP (likely a mid too) then mids in 2021 onward

That super draft in 2018 - how badly did we screw that.

Hard to say at the moment. Jones has shown signs he has a bright future without putting it all together, and McHenry looks like he'll have a productive career in the midfield (despite struggling today) just going by his tenacity and hunger. Hamil looks damn exciting as well, though he was an early second.

We're really a season away from knowing if these are kids we can rely on, but I'm optimistic on all of them.

None of our current assistants survive this season if Nicks wants to see out even 2 years of his 3 year contract. The coaching department is in worse shape than the player list, and that is completely ****ed.

We know what caused this.

Lost a grand final -> had some camp where effectively the coaches washed their hands with the game and blamed the players for not being mentally tough enough -> start of the season was ok then collective minds rocked up -> players mutineed -> promised change from coaches -> didn't happen -> eventually boiled over to the point the players said fu** it, and stopped trying due to a coaching group who were trying to throw everyone under the bus to save them.

We have been an absolute shitshow and its why the camp gets brought up time and time again. It was the beginning of the end.

I know all the stuff we read in the media...camp, Covid-19 stuff up, players leaving, yada yada yada. My theory, and I may be wrong, is there is some other deep-seated issue festering away at the AFC. Too many genuinely talented footballers all underachieving to buggery at the same time. That's what gives me the feeling there is something more than super-sleuths like Caro, Damo, Kane C etc have sniffed out.

Those writing McAsey off as a defender don't know what they're talking about. He's just not physically ready.
But we need to play him because he is the future of our defence. He is good enough, his junior year showed this.
Just needs a couple of summers in the gym.

EXACTLY. Gees use your brains, watch and 'understand" the game. After 1/4 time he did some good things and started to lay in front towards the end and contests. Save your anger for the senior players or just learn something about the game.

Thought he beat King in the 2nd
half or at the very least broke even. Was done no favours by team mates not filling the holes. King had too many free leads

It's more the contract that he gets. Any club would see how shit we are this year and say his form may be slightly attributed to that.
