Nah. Someone probably just salvaged some or reprogrammed some following the clone wars. I think an episode of Rebels dealt with a plot like this.

You can walk the line better than they did though. It doesn’t have to be slapstick to be fun. Just because we knew their fate would be dire doesn’t mean they should have though. Don’t get me wrong it’s the best thing of the new stuff, it’s just an 7-8/10 and there was room for improvement.

I'm not overly familiar with what EU material you are going off but I thought Jango Fett was a seen as a relic of the Mandalorians in the same way Vader was of the Jedi in Star Wars. Surely if anyone had it would be him.
Anyway we are nitpicking a point based on a flippant not serious remark I made.

the best thing since the OT by far. Even better than Rogue One.
The mystery of Boba Feet was ruined once he was just a clone and shoe horned into the Prequels. So i am glad they are not using him as the main character and instead sort of re-booting Fett. In saying that if would be cool for a Cameo later down the track.

nope. just can tell from all the trailers the level of SW/Lucas integrity is involved, and of course Filoni and Favreaux are heavily involved. Plus the story itself is very gritty, real world, rogue oneish, so i can tell its going to be something fresh in the SW universe. Kinda like that mooted idea to create a live acrion tv show (lucas but never went ahead) where it was based in mos eisley or coruscant underworld.
i think the diego luna tv show will also be welcomed and enjoyed as itll probably be really gritty too.
Cassian Andor? yeah forgot about that one looking forward to that as well. I've read somewhere it could be spy/espionage type series.
