I thought it was an ok first episode.
It wasn't great, had a few sloppy scenes/moments, but the promise is definitely there. As the series goes on I think it'll get even better, there's definitely room for it to grow.
It's reminiscent of Rogue One....the tone, grittiness, the humor, etc.
It's infinitely better than anything JJ and RJ have done to date with the ST.

just have to remember its on a far smaller budget. its tv not movie budget, so a number of things look and feel a bit tv-ish, but thats fine. just so long as people appreciate its on a far amaller budget per episode and not expect it to be movie quality -- in that regard.
but the story, script, is whats important, and its definitely got plenty of room to grow
its almost like they spent the majority of the budget on the battle droid sequences....because they looked very spiffy, very movie-quality.

Still looked top notch as far as I'm concerned. You wont see many other TV shows with visual effects that good
Surprised how quick it was ripped from Disney+

visual effects were fine, but cinematography was off. i dont know what format they used but it had that telemovie look about it. not complaining btw, just observibg, noting impressions

As long as you understand it's tv not a film budget you should enjoy it.
Though the music threw me off a bit and it's shorter than what I thought it would be.
Loved the Mando character so far, think Pedro does a great job considering no facial expressions available. IG11 is also cool.
Think Disney will be fine with the Star Wars universe as long as they stay away from Skywalker stories after ROS.
