For sure. Although the selflessness became our own worst enemy when we were trying to notch 200. It was like no one wanted to be the guy to kick that all important goal. At least three or four passes were made that should've just been shots at goal, it was hilarious. Who knew that even 165 points up players could still get nervous!
Pretty sure they should be training for this so that they aren't nervous when we reach the 200 mark. Sack Horse.

😂 I would like to think Horse gives a playbook to the team, with situational set ups. You know things like

  • Defence stoppage under 2 minutes with less than a goal lead (blank page)
  • Protecting a 4 goal lead in last 5 minutes
  • how to approach scores of 200- dealing with nerves

When I read terms like "witches hats" and "training run" I feel that does a considerable disservice to the effort the swans put in last night.

You can only play the team in front of you. However the intensity at the contest, the tackling and the overall pressure was elite last night.

The eagles didnt even try to approach the guy with the ball at times, it was one of the worst effortsI have seen in living memory to be honest.

We had guys stop dead to make decisions under 0 pressure

When Heeney was allowed to adjust his angle for goal so easily on the run it was laughable - no way another team would allow us to do that.

It was like playing AFL 2004 on easy mode.
And when Parker was against the boundary for a shot at goal and just stepped to his left so that he could calmly slot it through. All under no pressure. I'd never seen that before.

Yep agreed.
Time and time again on here I read posters bemoaning that we play down to the poorer teams levels or we don't keep our foot on the pedal etc etc but when we play like we did last night, it's because we played witches hats.
Yes WC were very poor, but there was still 18 of them versing 18 of us, and this time we did everything we had to do.

Absolutely does not diminish our performance a pressure rating of 240 (yes i know that graph) can be applied to any team weither 1st or 18th.

So while we ignore the opposition for a moment we sit here and ponder where was this when it mattered?

Thus you wonder why coaches age overnight.

The first bounce of the last they just watch Warner run into the pack of eagles as gulden runs away to get the handball then kick long where they watch Mclean, and one eagle finally holds him, but they all watch as he snaps to advantage, along the ground too if i remember correctly

Geelong at Geelong with no Dangerfield and no Cameron. If we’re going to put those GF demons to rest, next Friday night is a very good opportunity.
If we were to beat Geelong without Dangerfield and Cameron it would be a little shallow in the sense that it wasnt the team that pummelled us in the GF (we were significantly undermanned earlier in the season so took that result with a grain of salt). But I'd take a win any day of the week, and next week is a good chance to get one.

I’m sure last game many said he is a midfielder and Horse is as fool as he has been wasted as a forward 😂

Ahh this place

I dont care where he is played just as long as he is not wasted why sit him as a forward when the team cant win the ball and he has 2 disposals in 2 quarters of football?

Get him involved.

This.

Be flexible

Dont play him hurt

Something has changed with logan. He looks like a switch has flicked ans has matured over night..

He carries himself like key forward now, like he's the number 1 man. Yea he still has a few things to work on but he has been very impressive this year

2 goals a game for a 21 year old key forward is massive
He does look better, but he was playing on a rookie midfielder last night too.

He would or should have a licence to do that himself. Likely doesn’t need a call from the coaches box.

Think there's a bit of nonsense going around about how Buddy would have hurt us yesterday.

The issue with Buddy has been that as his athleticism has fallen away, he hasn't been able to create separation so he's been forced into more contested situations which has never been his strength.

Safe to say that if McLean was able to find himself in a paddock yesterday, Buddy would have had no issues doing the same and would have kicked a healthy bag.

Yep no Cameron and danger

If can’t beat them geez we have issues with them
you don’t think the last two games have already suggested that?
