Didnt we lose the clearances against Hawks in that first final? We beat them with the web. Had we had some luck in the first quarter in the GF and put some scoreboard pressure on we could have been ok. I dont think Priddis had much to do with the loss.
but it's always Priddis's fault.
It was his fault Darling dropped that mark. It was his fault Yeo only had 5 possessions. It was his fault that Kennedy didn't kick a goal. It was his fault...
To be fair, maybe the sun was glistening off priddis' hair , then got in darlings eyes, thus resulting in a dropped mark, coz of Matt.
Hawthorn treated us like doorMATTS.

I don't agree with most of Domo's posts but to ban him from a thread because nobody supposedly agrees with him is wrong in my opinion. From my reading there is a few who do agree with him in any case.
From what I have seen Domo, Smotie and Eagle87 have been banned. I wonder if this is solely based on their opinion of Priddis. Seems like too much of a coincidence.
Whatever happened to freedom of speech and allowing diverse opinions and debates.
Priddis isn't to blame for the GF loss. We got monstered by a better more experienced outfit hungry for a third flag and they took advantage of our inexperience. Simple.

Pretty sure Eagle87 got banned for being Eagle87 (and not just from this thread).
Domo got done for posting the same thing over and over and dismissing any counter argument or evidence to the contrary out of hand. Bit harsh maybe but also thoroughly deserved.
I forget why Smotie got thread banned, but he was a lot like Domo.

That is quite funny if it's true as the Moderator said it was because "nobody agreed with him"
From what I have read there has been a lot of the bolded going on from both sides over thousands of posts lol.
Maybe the thread should be closed altogether as Priddis has proved he is not deserving of this type of thread. Other players get threads posted about them but it doesn't get to this point of excessive brow beating and arguing from both sides.
Regardless of his faults he is a great club man and proven he is up there in with the greats from our club.

The moderator in question (I have a name you know) also said it was because he was unable to participate rationally in the discussion.
The other two posters you identified infracted out and lost their accounts, they haven't been specifically banned from the thread.
Can we leave out the comments on moderation now please.

If Domo were still allowed to post in this thread, he'd currently be telling you (again) why he feels Priddis does deserve this thread and why it must remain open...
Question for you FiveStrings, way back when I was Matt's player sponsor you always said the thread had to stay open because otherwise it'd spill all over the rest of the board (which was totally true at the time). There's pretty much no chance of that happening anymore, so what's the current reasoning we don't just consign this thread to the dustbin of history? Matt could happily be discussed in general midfield threads now without too much junk posting as he's earned the respect of 99% of the forum posters.

I don't see the problem with keeping the thread open, many other players have their own threads. If people don't have anything to post then it'll disappear on it's own.

I actually can't argue with that.
Its funny how people react when an eagle is critiqued. I remember Mainwaring getting boo'd when he chucked it on the boot from the centre square....jacko got a few boo's in his later years. Tom swift retired.....adam goodes got a sandy snatch.....brad scott says we are a shocking crowd etc etc
I really cant understand how matty is so precious that we need to close a thread down.
