Majority of hawthorn's good players are around the 23-27 year old mark.
Most of our best players are around the 19, 20, 21, 22 year old mark. Added to that the worst senior talent in the league. There's your difference.

Their list is way better balanced, too.

We have a zillion top 5 mids, surrounded by a zillion 190cm medium forwards, 1 kpf, 1kpd, a quality ruck, and the rest vfl/sanfl players...

Once this occurs we will have practically turned over every major role in the FD in the span of 4 years.

Some of them multiple times.

The only position that needs turnover is positional coaching, especially the forwards coach.

Watching every other game this week, and you see cohesive, open f50s the mids can kick to. Ours is a ****fest of non movement.

Since then, North have gone 3-13, percentage up 11.6% and have climbed up one spot into 17th. Hawks have gone 12-4, percentage up 43.7% and are now in the eight (had they not fumbled away the Port and GWS games, they'd be top 4)
