In the old vernacular, he plays extraordinarily ’wide’.Daicos literally runs around by himself. Even when the ball is turned over he just runs around without an opponent. Surely someone is going to exploit him

Alright i got the slow mo, this is how i see it now, he buckled the knees before the tackle got taken high and then as you said his arm went up afterwards, in real time it seems either before or as it was happeneing. His arm went up after the tackle around the neck.

Watched it a few times - disagree. But umps agree with you.Dropped at the knees, clearly raised his arm, umps calling it real time without the benefit of slow mo to see if the arm raise was 0.1sec after the high contact.
Only got himself to blame for that one. If he hadn't thrown in the arm raise he might have been paid.
But if he goes through the entire checklist for drawing high contact, he has to accept he isn't going to have it paid.
Right call.
Anyone got the pic of when Stevo tackled him and he is on the ground with his arm straight up in the air like the nit that he is?Brad Johnson crapping on at half time (and Eddie Betts agreeing) that now Ginnivan can't lift his arm he might get a concussion and can't protect himself...
What the actual *?
So if he takes a tackle like 99% of the rest of the league he can't protect himself? How does that even work?
Well... It looks like they do not want Clarko.Nothing surer.

He was already in the process of dropping.I think the umps got that one wrong. The initial contact was always above shoulder height.

He is in the process of dropping himself but I agree it probably would have been high regardless. That said he instantly yanked his arm up as high as he possibly could, it's absolutely absurd to see, and because of that the benefit of the doubt is completely gone. He needs to unlearn that technique quickly.I think the umps got that one wrong. The initial contact was always above shoulder height.

Games like this are why i prefer a JHF type over Daicos, when it comes to contested ball - when it matters - he is like a pig in s**t.
