RIP Barry Round , nice fella 😢
Very sad news,
Absolute Champion Bloke, My Dad coached him in junior football many years ago out at Nilma. Still remember bumping into him in the old depot pub in Richmond now the Precinct on the eve of heading over to a friends wedding in tassie like it was yesterday . Didn't expect to be feeling so shabby on the flight the following morning however the night with a few beers with the old Merry Go Round made it worth it. Rest In Piece Bazza.

Went to a sportsmen night years ago and Barry was a speaker, funny stories and I remember he didn’t drink pots he drank straight from the jug.
Also I went to watch North play in Sydney and after the game we went to the Coggee hotel for a beers, Barry was there and we had a chat and a couple of beers, really nice fella

The source is the court documents. Even the daily mail is unlikely to bugger that up.
Not suggesting its wrong - just surprised it isn't getting more media.

The Hun have jumped on now:

AFL official charged after police drug bust

The head of development at an AFL club has been charged after police busted him buying illegal drugs, with the club denouncing his action.

The head of development at the GWS Giants has admitted to buying cocaine, after police busted him “acting suspiciously” following the transaction.
Robbie Chancellor was charged by police on December 10, after they spotted him buying 0.87 grams of cocaine near his Marrickville home.

Chancellor made full admissions about the purchase of the drugs, telling the arresting officers he paid $300 for the cocaine.

He was charged with drug possession and pleaded guilty to the offence this week.

Giants General Manager of Football, Jason McCartney, said Chancellor had made a “serious error”.

“The GIANTS are incredibly disappointed by Robbie’s actions which are in no way aligned with the values and behaviours of our organisation,” he said.

“Robbie has made a serious error and understands he has let a number of people down.”

Chancellor will return to court for sentencing in March.

$300 for not even a gram? Chancellor the real victim here.
Absolutely and he should sue the dealer for not providing the full product.

Anyway, the problem with all drug charges is the police prosecutor always love to use the street going rate in court, but any good lawyer will negotiate that to the base right.
