Former Eagle Dani Laidley made a surprise appearance at West Coast training on Tuesday as the injury-ravaged side looks to regroup ahead of this week’s trip to Adelaide for the AFL’s Gather Round.

Laidley played 52 games for the Eagles and was part of the club’s squad for its historic 1992 premiership.

The former North Melbourne coach was spotted chatting to current Eagles coach Adam Simpson, who won a flag alongside Laidley with the Roos in 1996 and played under her for the entirety of her 149 games in charge from 2003 to 2009.
