WTF are Lakers doing? You are struggling for offense in general and off the bench so you bring in a defensive wing?

I can only assume they want to move Rui to the bench to get more shots up from there or something. Even then I dont know what that means for Vanderbilt when he is back. Do they want him to slide over to backup C or something? Feels a odd one

In any case think its good they are doing something while not trading away too much draft capital. They need to hold onto some of it still
We’re not really lacking offense, Austin/Rui/DLo/Knecht are all offense-leaning guys. We have had absolutely no depth of players that can contribute on both ends of the floor, which DFS can

I imagine the rotation pieces will be something like this:

Austin/Vincent
Christie/Knecht
DFS
Bron/Rui
AD/Hayes

We still desperately need an upgrade at backup C. I’m eyeing off Nick Richards from the Hornets

Good move by LA

Added defensive flexibility to an improving defence and Bron loves himself a vet! Welcome DFS. Shooting 43% from 3 with a PER of over 12 this season

Shake can potentially provide much of what DLo does, given Russell is really struggling over that last few weeks

Lewis was never going to play and kept first round draft capital
Yeah I reckon Shake for us will basically be DLo without the playmaking

Whether that’s enough to crack the rotation remains to be seen

Wish Shaq was in the squad. Then we’d have Shake Shaq

Toronto just badly needs a PG. Barnes is more of a creative SF type. Quickley is injured but better off at SG.

The Bruce Brown deal has been a massive failure. The plan to trade him for expiring deals to get capital back has failed as no real bad contracts exist that will be in that 20 mill range. The Lavine/Porter Jnr deals are too expensive for them to take on unless they plan on dumping RJ Barrett which doesnt make sense

For now they are kind of stuck with the roster they have.

Them, OKC and Boston are some properly strong teams. When do the conference finals start?

Bet the good folks at ESPN are doing cartwheels at the prospect of a Cleveland vs Oklahoma Finals.

''LeBron's former team takes on, uh... Durant's former team, live here on ESPN''.

Just think LeBron. If you hadn't embarked upon your world tour in search of rings, he'd be playing in the best team in the NBA right now. :)
Well he would also have one less ring. On top of that they wouldn't have this team because they would not have been picking in the lottery with Lebron on the team.

Clearly you haven’t watched any Knicks, Houston or Memphis games this year. All very strong so far.

Rockets aren’t getting near OKC in a best of 7 series as currently constructed. Halfcourt offense is just too unreliable.

No one in the west is getting close to them if fully fit realistically

Massive game on ESPN today.

Alot of credit should go to Mobley and working his game out to where he can become a PF. They are lucky they didnt trade away Jarret Allen in that sense because Mobley has become better at PF then he ever could have been at C I feel. Out of all the young guys who have came in in last 4 years I feel he is the guy who has improved his game year to year the most.

Outside of that you got Garland/Mitchell working together alot better whereby Mitchell is letting Garland take more shots. From that you also got Wade/Strus taking minutes away from Okoro who sucks. Levert as instant offense of the bench on a very good deal financially. Niang/Wade able to space the floor which is what they want with Allen/Mobley. They should try move Okoro + 2031 1st rounder for something that doesnt suck. A guy like Kelly Oluynk could work
