they don’t have much draft currency, spending it on players that won’t even make them genuine contenders is probably a mistake.

Luka is locked in for multiple years and would have value so high no one would be able to tempt the Mavs in to budging. Think they have to suck it up this year and just accept being bang average

I like the suggestion Bill Simmons put in his last podcast of The Mavs trading for Kyrie.

The folks in Dallas appear weird and eccentric enough to accept most of Kyire's wacky and unpopular world views and opinions anyway

I think the Mavs should pull the trigger tbh.

A culture killer, plus he's not getting you over about 5 other teams anyways.
Plus he'd want to get paid multiple years and soon as he did he'd do something weird at a minimum but will also very likely put the cue in the rack the moment he gets a multi year deal. A smart franchise wouldn't even take him for free, let alone give something up for him.

What i have enjoyed about the Celtics this season is how patient we have been on offence, aside from the occasional turnover, we have been getting really good looks for most of our shots, and don't panic when we get a deficit on the scoreboard. Helps having a roster/rotation of 8-9 players that are above average shooters, even out big men.
