So we have our matchups set, lets have a new thread!
Lebron and co have been relaxing following their sweep of the Hornets
Meanwhile, Brooklyn have been going hammer and tong against the Raps, prevailing ultimately thanks to Iso Joe and Mr Whammy
I'd provide some actual analysis... but I'm not hans or SoS, so instead you'll have to put up with my assortment of sporadic thoughts.
Miami are largely settled in their lineups with Wario/Wade/LBJ/Bosh are the main 4 but they have been running Ray/Norris/Haslem/Bird through the 5th position with Haslem starting but playing limited minutes. James Jones got some burn through the last series as well.
As for Brooklyn, they are settled on their small ball lineup with KG/Pierce/Joe/Livingston/DWill altho they switched to starting Alan Anderson late in the Raps series. Plumlee saw his minutes cut late in the series coinciding with Blatche getting more burn.
Firstly, the obvious matchups are Lebron alternating on Iso and/or Pierce on either end, with Wade/Livingston, DWill/Mario, KG/Bosh largely matching up on each other.
We all know the Nyets had a 4-0 sweep of the Heat in the regular season and 3 of the 4 were largely full strength units. The main thing that stands out is the lack of bench production for Miami, however as rotations tighten up in the playoffs this is less of an issue.
The Nets can run multiple guys at Lebron with Livingston/Joe/Pierce and AK, and have bigger guards that can post up the likes of Cole, Wade and Chalmers. The keys for me are Williams and Bosh. We know what we will get from Lebron and to a lesser extent Wade. But if Bosh can put up numbers all of a sudden Miami are very hard to stop. Likewise if Williams is stroking it they can dominate the Miami backcourt.
Should be a great series, although I think Miami pull game 1 off comfortably with their rest.
