I reckon Oasis have a few pretty decent film clips actually. Some of their early ones aren't great, but they still have some good ones. I'm a big fan of Sunday Morning Call's film clip, the Masterplan would have to be my fave though. Love Liam's walk.

D'yer Know What I Mean. Though All Around The World is pretty good...
Ha. D'you Know What I Mean (was at the time) one of the most expsensive clips ever done. Both that and All Around the world (and the whole Be Here Now tour with the phone box) shows what happens when you do too much coke.

The Importance of Being Idle is class.

Live Forever with Liam sitting on the chair thats up on the wall. I dunno something about that just says cool as ____ to me. Again class.

New Oasis gigs coming up!

Oasis set for o2 residency?

Speculation has renewed that Oasis could be the latest act to play a mammoth residency at London's o2 Arena.

With the band's seventh studio album due this year, rumours of a stint at the massive venue first started some months ago.

Now, the Sunday Mirror has quoted a 'band insider' as saying the shows are close to being announced, for autumn.

They said: "The dates will be a real special event – and the first major rock residency at the o2. There have been lots of pop acts there – The Spice Girls and Prince. Led Zeppelin did one date. But no band has yet to set up camp there for a whole run.

"They are lining up 10 dates some time in the autumn at the dome before taking on the rest of the world.

The Mirror reckons that the shows would earn something in the region of £15million.

I'm going to the UK in July to see the missus and I hope to catch a gig over there, sincerely doubt Oasis will play that early BUT MY GOD THAT WOULD BE AWESOME

Noel Gallagher has criticised the decision to have a hip hop act as the headline for the Glastonbury Festival.

The Oasis guitarist said having rapper Jay-Z at the festival is the reason it has not sold out this year.

He also said the event's organisers had changed things too much and that it was "wrong" to have a hip hop headline act.

There were 100,000 tickets sold for Glastonbury on the first day, but in past years all tickets had sold out in a matter of hours.

Gallagher said: "If it ain't broke don't fix it.

"If you start to break it then people aren't going to go. I'm sorry, but Jay-Z? No chance.

"Glastonbury has a tradition of guitar music and even when they throw the odd curve ball in on a Sunday night you go 'Kylie Minogue?'

"I don't know about it. But I'm not having hip hop at Glastonbury. It's wrong."

Oasis headlined the main stage at Glastonbury in 1995 and 2004, with the event selling out on both occasions.

Gallagher also rubbished recent stories saying that Oasis were ready to "do a Prince" and have a residency at London's O2 Arena.

"We'll never play the O2. We went there to see Led Zeppelin and to be honest the gig was fantastic, but it was the most soul destroying venue I've ever been to.

"And much to our manager and agent's disappointment we came back and said we would never play there.

"So it means we are going to have to do 640 nights at Earl's Court, I would have thought.

"It's too Americanised for me, and it's too far away. Any gig you can get to by boat that hasn't got a beach is wrong."

New album

He did confirm that Oasis seventh studio album is complete.

"That's finished. All done. We're just kind of waiting to get a record deal and get it out.

"We've not managed to get a title yet. We're in the middle of doing the art work. Down to a shortlist of about three. The first single? That will be four-and-half minutes long."

When asked if Oasis were still Britain's band, or whether the Arctic Monkeys had taken over that mantle, Noel admitted: "We'll be bigger than them in terms of ticket sales, but they'll probably sell slightly more records than us.

"But then again they've got about 20 years on us. So see where they are in 2089, or whenever it is they'll be my age."

Good to hear from that great man. Just telling it how it is again!

Also good to hear that the album is all done. Hope it is out by September.

4 1/2 minutes is a nice length for a single...

Hey guys, i've been looking everywhere but i can't find Revolution song/solve my mystery. Anywhere i can find it.

Cheers

What does everyone think of Where Did It All Go Wrong? I love it, but I've never even heard it mentioned here, and as far as I know it's only been played live on a few occasions.

'Do you keep a receipts for the friends that you buy'

Fantastic lyric although I reckon it would be a better song with less production, if it had a more acoustic vibe to it. I know Be Here Now and Shoulders were way over produced, but some tracks would be just so much better without all the extras. For example, this track would be much better without the organ IMO, but still a good song, lyrically fantastic

Yeah I've seen how they do it when they do on the rare occasion play it live, and it's a lot like you said, more acoustic, less production etc. But tbh I definitely prefer the album version, great chorus, great middle 8, and as you said, great lyrics.

Noels comments about Jay Z have caused a bit of a stir apparently, some are even playing the race card.

race card is one of the most over used things ever. basically if someone has a "disagreement" with someone of a different race to themselves they're "racist".

Back on topic, if it weren't for Definitely Maybe and whats the story, would people love oasis as much as they do?
those albums were genius though
