JB wants the smoke.

It is so weird to me that people continue to bash him for not playing back to backs when his body clearly can not handle it. Like it isn’t laziness, he genuinely can’t manage his body for 82 games and play back to backs.

They have more problems then Embiid playing back-to-backs.

Passing judgement on the trade is fair, but the bolded is categorically untrue.

We took Daniels at #8 in the draft, and played him over 2,400 mins before he hit the age of 21, so we obviously rated him. He was part of the meat and potatoes of the trade, not a throw in. The throw-in, if there was one, was Nance, but even that was for salary matching purposes.

The idea that Daniels was frozen out in New Orleans is a myth.
He wasnt frozen out, he was pigeon holed.

They did not give him half the offensive role that he has in Atlanta.

I'd disagree largely with that too. He just wasn't assertive enough with us, too tentative. Lost count of the amount of times we'd plead with him to have more confidence to shoot the ball.

We had an elite bench last season, and he was a big part of that. We knew his value. He's effectively playing the role in Atlanta that Herb Jones played for us last season, lone defender in an otherwise offensive-orientated starting line-up. Whereas as part of our bench last season, he played with a defensively-orientated group.

We were just stacked last season with defence-first wings - Herb, Naji Marshall and Dyson. Naji has shown offensive growth in Dallas, and I'm not surprised Daniels has more opportunities to score playing off Trae and Jalen Johnson.

Also, he's shooting 29% from three and 60-odd% from the free throw line, so we shouldn't pretend he doesn't still have some rough edges still to polish. I'm glad he's thriving on a new team, but the narrative that we were holding back the battling Aussie is incredibly lazy and needs to die. I'm first to jump on my team when we do something dumb, which is often. Plenty to criticise the Pels for without making up false narratives.

All we needed to do is not lose by ~37 against the Knicks to advance :drunk:
Got it back to around ~20, we're the real winners here

Not a huge stat guy but Orlando going 6/30 from 3 for 20% doesn't seem ideal
Tell me about it

I know we smashed Denver but today felt like the first time this Knicks unit just clicked. Completely made the Magic look second rate.
