Sam Kerr another podium finish in the Ballon D'Or. If Australia has a good run at the WC next year (doubtful with Tony G), she'd have to be a strong shout to win it next year. Can't think of many Australian athletes who are so clearly the best ever Australian in a sport the way that Kerr is in football - certainly in the modern era (lets leave aside Bradman or Walter Lindrum).

I think you can make a pretty good case for Rod Laver as Australia's greatest ever tennis player too. Certainly closer to Court than the number two in Aussie football is to Kerr imo.

What a legend this bloke is. Humble, and dedicates his life to making life betters for others not as fortunate as himself. In an era of footballers who love flash cars and possessions he is a breath of fresh air.

Basically has funded his entire home city out of his own pocket. Great stuff, one of the most likeable players in the game for sure.
