Saudi is a joke of a venue. Unsuitable climate, they had to change the bidding rules so they could even submit a bid (not enough existing stadiums)
Even though they have superstars and pay bugger all for tickets they get crowds of a few thousand. Players are on 500k / week. Ridiculous.
The region had the tournament in 2022. Saudi is a shithole run by a human rights abusing oil funded royal family on a blank cheque.
I do hope they allow LGBTQI and / or rainbow colours this time but don't hold your breath.

There was also the sleight of hand by FIFA to have a few games for 2030 in South America as though to justify they had had their turn then give it back to the sport washing Arabs in 2034 under very dubious circumstances.
