I sit in aisle 33 for our games at the dome. The peak of 2009 was Turtles running goal against Hawthorn in round3. After that the wing was dormant. 4 months wasted for nothing. 2010 will be different. I thought prior to sunday wed be behind the top4 teams because our mids werent as big. Anthony, Ziebell, Wells, Swallow, Boomer, Adams, Greenwood, Urquhart and Lower can more than hold their own. Even Ross. Cunnington even though is a mass unit and Wright and Garlett a year into the system would probably need more time to bang their bodies againt bigger frames. But the above ten or so i have no doubt can match it with the best.

Watched the game on tv, the crowd was 18,300 which was a good crowd, considering how it was a interstate team and the way both teams have have been playing. And the north crowd were really loud during and after the game.

It was good to see the members wing all stand up and chant "North Melbourne, clap, clap, clap" as the boys were in a bit of a scuffle near the end of the 2nd quarter I think it was.

I thought it was awesome.
We all love a stoush. Good on Spuds, he's found his passion again.

That WAS fun!

I reckon most of us were on our feet after Boomer's fifth bounce, cheering for the goal that must (surely!) come...

Voice is almost gone, which is my criteria for a good day at the footy.

Gotta get this off my chest - while listening to the prematch on ABC radio Gerard Whateley asked that arseclown Drew Morphett for a comment on the match & his response was "gee, this is one of the smallest crowds I've ever seen an hour before first bounce". FFS, it was still only 1.15. If I've heard him spout this crap once, I've heard it a thousand times. Anyway, he's made my mind up - no more ABC for our games if this cretin is calling.

The media just love to high light our crowd figures, but seem to leave certain clubs alone, WB aside from the last 2 years pull shit crowds but thats ok. And what about Melb, but I suppose they are still rebuilding, even though its been going on for the last 5 years.

could only watch the game but good on those who turned up as the noise they made got the blood pumping.
lets not bag the commentators for calling it as it is. 18000 in anyones language is not a huge crowd. Norths going to have to put together a stack of efforts like this to draw bigger crowds.

Often, and not on here in print, I despair at the lack of spirit and noise from our fans, let alone the lack of them that turn up. A few people will point out that we'll be back when we're successful again.

The majority of that crowd last night was North fans.

The members wing was loaded, and it was loud, it lead it's own chants.

After the game, spot fires of the song began and ran into each other like we were singing in the round.

The North fans are out there, they are passionate, and they are noisy - we just need to play the sort of successful footy that brings them out.

I ****ing love this club.

This thread was designed to highlight the difference we supporters can make to a team out on the ground .

That North crowd friday night was one to remember . That's a club that's on it's knees counter punching the critics .

The players , the coach , the club and the supporters lifted and put in just that little bit extra .

All of us out in the stands need to put in every extra bit . Every team needs that . The players feed off it .

Those 22 out on the ground were lifted by all you supporters out there who went to the game . We made some serious ****ing noise friday night !!!!!!!
