Wasn’t that a new rule recently introduced that it was illegal to travel between two cars that were doing more than 30km

Off to research that statement in case it was just a case of me posting stupid

Edit: nope it’s in the proposed changes after the completion of a recent consultation process

So..... stupid post is stupid post

So what's the go with the motorcycle police pulling over other motorcyclists on the freeway for trying to beat the traffic by riding down the middle between the lanes to beat the traffic?

.. then once they have finished issuing their fine or caution or whatever, the bike coppers themselves seek to beat the traffic by overtaking, on the inside, up the emergency lane. Isn't that just as dangerous and illegal??
I thought lane splitting was legal in WA as long as you do it correctly.

AFAIK, you can lane split on the right hand side if the car is moving or stationary and you can lane split on the left hand side if the car is stationary.

This was before 7am btw so there wasn't much traffic. He thought I was trying to race him. Wtf tries to race a motorbike in a car? :drunk:
Once i was on my parents motorbike (Shouldn't of been, i was only allowed the 250cc) which was a vtr1000 about 6 years ago

Some middle aged knob on orrong road/Francisco at about 2am pulls up, starts reving, flick the visor up and just yell "You serious?" Calls me a bitch

Catches upto me eventually about 10 seconds later, i didnt want to really be caught so i was keeping just above the speed limit

Thought it should be obvious that lane splitting is quite dangerous when traffic is moving. Perfectly fine and in fact should be encouraged when there's a queue at a red light but as soon as the cars are moving you better behave like a car.

Absolutely, we want less congestion, i wouldnt split between two moving cars however when it;s at a standstill do you really want motorbikes just sitting there waiting to take off? Even 6/7 motorbikes deep in the middle lane are going to take off quicker then the second car

Kwinana Fwy northbound around 7am... stop for a few seconds, accelerate to 30, back to 10, up to 40, stop for a few seconds, up to 15...(rinse repeat). Traffic is moving on the literal sense of the word, but not in common sense.

Sure, but if I'm on a bike heading into town during peak hour on the freeway, I'm lane splitting.

I'm not sitting there when I know I can lane split between cars doing 10 kph.

Don't get mad at me just because you're stuck in your little Hyundai going nowhere.

So you’re okay wearing a car that decides to nip across to that gap they just spotted

I don't lane split at 100 kph.

I just weave my way through at a sensible speed.

I don't even drive a Hyundai.

As Off The Couch stated there are cars that duck across quickly into small gaps during these peak hour crawls and obviously if you're going much faster than them while lane splitting this could quite easily not end well for you.

I do know how to pick my moments.

I don't race willy nilly through traffic.

Fair enough and I do hope you don't end up badly but there are plenty of drivers that duck across without checking for a lane splitting bike. A quick Youtube search reveals plenty of videos where it didn't end well.

I appreciate the concern but I never go for a gap I don't think is safe.

I've been doing it for over 20 years.

The Terrace Hotel opened in 2011 after an extensive building redevelopment. The opening met with much acclaim and for a number of years the business performed at a high level. In recent times, the business has faced challenges and the lessee has been unable to maintain consistent compliance with its lease obligations. As such the parties mutually agreed to end the lease.

I wonder what the obligations of the lease were.
