I am! What's the deal behind it?
I only learned of New Norcia recently as well.
Do you even WA?
Not knowing about PHR/HRP is a deportable offence.

Yeah pretty sad. I grew up in Narrogin which has about 4-4500 people and also had two teams (Railways and Towns) until about 10 years ago when they merged, also lost West Arthur in 2003 and a couple of clubs like Wickepin and Brookton/Pingelly have struggled to field juniors in recent years. Of the people I played colts with in 2009 only 1 still lives in the town with most moving to the city for uni or work and never coming back. The Main Street of the town itself is full of empty shops, sad to see towns die like this but I guess that's just the way it is nowIt's very sad to see the state of footy in 2014 Australia. A club back home have been getting guys like Aker to come down to play and have functions, but the club struggles to get traction and the closest they've come to a win in half a decade is a 31 point loss. Apparently, it's emblematic – I've heard some figure, something like 8 clubs have started up in the last decade.
But it's not just a lack of start ups, it's the death of proper old sides. It seems the common link is those from working class areas. Is this due to kids, in the 70s, having nothing but footy to fill boredom? Is it easier to jump on trains and drink cheap piss and get cheap drugs these days? I don't know, but it seems a serious issue. Right now, in the GSFL (formerly Southern Districts), the tiny town of Mt Barker (around 2,500 these days) fielded North and South teams and both were chock of amazing talents, some of who were too homesick to make more than awesome initial inspections for Claremont. Now, the amalgamated Barker Bulls are relying on guest stints from Byron Schammer to keep afloat (despite bringing up Aaron Sandilands). It's very sad, if not for the towns, but for the lost history – history no one now cares about

A very quick survey of the people in my tutorial suggested that I wasn't alone in that regard.

It's a load of shit that Export is still some kind of cultural icon with uni students when it's not even cheap anymore. The thing with these (alcohol) trends is that, as soon as it's noticeably a trend, they lose the thing that made them a trend (the price). What are those 500 mil tinnies they sell at BWS? Just in a silver can? Well they were about $12 for a sixy this time last year and they're at $16 now. Simply because everyone's cashing in on and people are probably still buying it because they remembered they were cheap. Now Angus Litherland are selling these little Belgian knock-offs for $11 and no one's caught on. You wait, as soon as they do, they'll go up as well.
So, now, Export has lost all its lustre but lads still think it'll make them look really funny or something. For $45 a slab you might as well buy a beer that's actually nice and not just cultural credit. Wouldn't you rather a nice beer you enjoy? Whether it's white basic kids in Perth or hipsters in Brunswick, no one cares about the label on your lager or Brooklyn IPA.
Only way you'll learnThanks for the cracking info and insights guys. Guess I'll do my own research.
Yeah such rare vernacular!!!A... "sixy"?!
******* Alarm if me and the Aquinas boys catch you in Perth this summer drinking a sixy of Newcy in Leedy or Subi, bashings will be handed out with nary a second thought.

Perth is more aesthetically pleasing.
At the beaches, sure. But some beaut inner city suburbs which, in terms of pubs and homes, well outdoes Melbs. I'm very torn on the two but Melbourne can be a nice looking placePerth is more aesthetically pleasing.

Fremantle bruz, mmmm looking over that prime 1 mil-for-a-townhouse real estate. Mmm living in the 6160. Mmm being smug. I'm like the public school, working class version of youThe only city you'll be looking at... is Perth City.
If the window near your hospital bed faces that way.
And if you go to Royal Perth. SCGH is probably too far away to see the city.
