The Philadelphia Experiment - ...And Live With The Consequences

Got a mate in Philly who says it is all over the media there (George to Philly). LeBron makes players better. Could enhance Ben significantly in the long term.If you think getting James is only a 10% chance then there has been a ridiculous amount of press on something that has no chance of happening. More likely a 20% chance with plenty of time to improve our chances if we get past the first round in the playoffs.

Unless your mate is listening to talkback radio and listening to WIP callers, then there hasn't been anything from any news outlets suggesting it from a front office perspective. Philly media - or any media - isn't restricted to location, and suffice to say even radio hosts commenting on the front office being into PG13 would make headlines. In the same way gossip about LeBron and/or his people visiting Malvern Prep came to light. More likely your mate has taken opinion and relayed that to you as fact.

And I never said anything about there being only 10% chance of LeBron coming to Philly. The odds of it happening are considerably higher and chatter about it has actually been real. I was referring to the conversations people are having about whether they want LeBron here.

Is it just me or is Dario Saric not getting the recognition he deserves? Thought he was a bit stiff not getting ROTY last season too.
He's not a guy who will get mainstream press because of Ben and Joel but I think Philly fans are pretty clued in to how much he's improved. He also sacrifices a lot of what he could do to compliment Ben & Joel, he could easily imo put some pretty big numbers in another situation.

Yeap, it would be the best shot at winning a championship in the next couple of years.

It's not a question with merit, but it is a non-sequitur because Simmons is likely half the reason why LeBron would want to be here in the first place.

But to branch the hypothetical out a little, there are only two sensible options for a trade - Kawhi and George - and the former would need unequivocal assurances that he is healthy and would re-sign, and the latter, whilst more achievable (sign and trade), would not necessarily need Simmons as a trading piece.

Either way though, can't see front office (or Klutch) ever agreeing to it, because it really is an all or nothing gamble that would be largely unprecedented.

20 points 10 boards 4 assists against Miami. I think he is only going to get better. Then the recognition will come.
