The only silver lining to the Embid injury is we get to work on our biggest weakness statistically in 2018, which is basically how we go both offensively and defensively when Joel is not on the court up until the palyoffs. That is provided it is only a two week layoff. (Playoffs begin April 14th). If the injury is any longer than the minimum listed of two weeks then obviously our chances of getting past the first round have decreased massively.

Yup - and chances of securing home court in that series too.

Pretty upset about this.

With Joel, we're playing well enough to beat any of those teams.

Shitty accident and Joel now out for 2-4 weeks.

Even if we have to face you guys, I hope you have Embiid back.

Sixers have been a breath of fresh air in the East this season and a real entertaining team to watch.

Knowing our history with injuries he MIGHT return to 5on5 practice by next seasons training camp :p

But for real, I hope we see him in the playoffs... I he's our guy to turn up on the big stage and the guy to light the city up.
I think we are safely falling no lower than 5 in the playoff standings.. My question is do we want to actually finish 5th and bring back embiid in game 2 in Indiana or 3 in philly? Without embiid Indiana would probably beat us so we save our home games for when embiid is back and hope to win 5 or 7 on the road?

Yeah which is why I would want him back as soon as we can if we match up with Indiana, probably wont beat them without Embiid.

Would he be on a minute restriction? This type of injury doesnt really look like you need to be too cautious about it (other than wearing a mask lol), but not something you could take away minutes.

I very much doubt it. Plus, good luck to them trying to tell him he can play but on a mins restriction in the playoffs.

Good win.

Clippers had solid lead but choked it to lose to the Pacers.
Pacers now have @ Denver, Warriors and Raptors in next 3, before back-to-back against Hornets.

Need them to drop 2 of those to go 49-33, which means Philly needs 4 wins in 6 against Nets/Pistons/Cavs/Mavs/Hawks/Bucks to go 50-32 and beat them. I think that's a reasonable expectation of Philly, but if Indiana go 50-32 I think they jump into 3rd/4th.

Having said that, maybe the Cavs will lose to Mavs now, and with Raptors/Wizards/us coming up they could drop another 1-2, but that seems unlikely.

Sixers spank Nets :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu: (11 in a row) - no starter over 28 mins. Back to back games.
Cavs takedown Raptors
Nuggets hold off Pacers :thumbsu:

Cavs 48-30
Philly 47-30
Pacers 46-32

Cavs have Wizards Friday, us Saturday
Philly has Pistons tomorrow, Cavs Saturday
Pacers have GSW Friday, Raptors Saturday

If Pacers lose both of those, then we've pretty much secured home court.
Beat Cavs and we should be level with them heading into last 2-3 games. Lose and no chance of making 3rd.
