A bit early for a positivity thread surely. Yes, first game was ordinary. Yes second game could very well be the same. But to start it after one game is depressing and negative in itself.

If you need a pick-up, just do what I do and reflect on East Freo's 29 premierships. The pain will go away. I suggest you all try it.

Driving on the road and the high beams from an oncoming car are in your eyes - don't stare at the obvious, the high beams, you look elsewhere (left side of the road). With footy, everyone is so fixated on the bright lights that they lose their vision for everything else, everyone stares at the loss and cries into the breakfast cereal for a week instead of remembering the good stuff in that game.

l didn't presume that any of our long term injuries would mount a successful comeback - Johno needs more time (and we'll see) but sooooo good to see Fyfe and others looking good, they lose touch that only get's fixed by game time and the injury/surgery can curb there athleticism (restricted movement etc). Fyfe's game was excellent and I presume that he will only get better with match practice. Neale, 3 surgeries in the off season and he still had a good game, same with Fyfe, he will only get better.

SHill - omg! Criticised for years as not getting enough of the ball, but by jingoes - this is the SHill we all wanted him to be. Nothing short of sublime. What's really exciting me is seeing him and Brad play together, there is that hint of chemistry with the two working together, a synergy in the midfield that you tend to get in the forward line, only a hint of it there in round 1, but obvious in the JLT and it will only get stronger with game time.
