If we were to trade KPDs I would trade one of McGuane, Thursfield, Moore. (In that order of preference) all of them have their strengths but also their limitations which make them tradeable. I wouldn't be prepared to trade Astbury or Gourdis, solely on the grounds of potential.
As for what we could get from the blues, I don't think they have anything worthwhile that they would be willing to trade, for any of the three aforementioned tradeables. Unlike many, apart from Kreuzer, I'm not such a big fan of their ruck stocks that would make this trade appealing (and they wouldn't consider losing Kreuzer anyway).

I'd prefer if we took Moore out of any trade talks, the guy is pivotal in our defence. Reads the play, decent user and is very accountable.
I'd be hesitant to give up Thursty too, sure he is not a rebounding defender but he can be a back pocket player who takes the 2nd or 3rd forward and shuts them down, someone like Dale Morris.

For what its worth. I was just speaking with someone who works at the Lions about the Fev story and he said that it was a bad day all around as Brennan has asked to be traded to the Tigers.

Sounds like complete crap..haha. If we could get him for Moore/Thursfield and maybe a late pick I'de be incredibly for it, but he's too old for us to trade for otherwise.

What a load of BS!!! I would love to have him at the club for some X factor effect but the truth is he would only last 1 day. First competitive session; He can't catch Lids running off half back, Cotchin dances around him with a one-two step & Martin runs through him going for the ball like a bull at a gate!! ....... and just for good measure Jake King snaps him by getting into his head sledging him flat out!!!

I have it on very good authority that Richmond have delisted or are delisting 12 players. Looks like you are going to be very active in the trading period, probably trade off a lot of this years draft picks for some ready made players.
I know for a fact that Jordan McMahon has been delisted and is looking at trying to join up with Gold Coast.

Most of us knew that about Jordy, but 12 players is a fair bit. I expected around 8-10. I doubt we'd delist Thursfield / Rance / Moore / McGuane if we can't get a trade for them.

Ok, so Jordy was a given. That's cool. Still I think he still has something to offer a club as a squad member. Has enough experience to be useful somewhere.
12 does seem a lot but I think with all the youth that has been brought on recently that you guys need to bolster the 24 to 27 year old experienced players pool. And any draft picks you give away will be low down thanks to Gold Coast and West Sydney.
Nows the time to get rid of worthless draft picks and try and get some good ready made players.

Hardwick's mantra is "no shortcuts". We will wait for our core group too grow together into that 24-27 age bracket. Craig Cameron has said he will not be trading our top picks (plural) unless something extraordinary presents itself.

two players we should be going after are the 2 melbourne boys andy otten and travis boak. now i know both are contracted, but these are 2 players who would fit nicely into most teams and ofcourse ours. we should be looking to see if they are interested in coming back to their home town and if we can facilitate a trade.
That's very good news, hopefully we will do as well in this draft as we seemingly did in the last one.

Only clubs in contention for a premiership will trade away picks in what is considered a strong draft.
27 year olds - not likely.
Jordy will be shopped around, but I doubt any takers will want him - although if the saints do want a cheap player for added pace, they will have to trade for him as he may just do a deal and go to the gold coast in the PSD for free or they could just take him as an uncontracted player on a small wage.

Gamble from the cats? I've always viewed him as a decent player who could become very good given some consistent game time and position, hasn't played a lot of games this year and should come cheap.

Mackie deserved to be dropped. He was insipid last week. Good player in a good side, but at 26 not sure another unaccountable back flanker is what we're after. Surprised Taylor Hunt wasn't included to give them a bit of run.

What is the go with Thompson, he is the one from Port right? From memory he was a fairly early draft pick originally, how come he has struggled? i've never really seen him play.
Just thought I would let you folks know of the rumors flying round up here - Word has it Brad Miller has had discussions with the Tigers and GC. I was suprised to hear you guys interested in a 27 year old, I would of brushed it aside as b.s but the bloke I heard it from is very closely associated with Brad.

I think Thompson was another Wallace mistake.
He got injured last year but has been out of favour this year.
I guess that Dimma's line of 'good skills or you are out' applies to him. We can't afford to have dud kicks in the midfield, when we already have Jackson and Tuck with suspect disposal.
On Miller, I would be gobsmacked as he would hinder the development of the other forwards or defenders, but stranger things have happened.
How about Ryan Gamble? He is younger than Knights, about the same height and probably cheaper. He's from a winning culture with strong work ethic.
