Same hereF*ing 3rd place roughy killed me in my boxed trifecta
Picked all 3 place getters but only as single E/W picks and the first 2 as Quinellas....l couldn't afford any more..F*ing 3rd place roughy killed me in my boxed trifecta
Race 1 went alright for me, meh after that, broke even today overall
i have gone this path a few times with the overs/unders and there has been a couple of occassions where the odds look much better than they should be, but not when the weather has already set in prior to the bounce. and then with my luck the rain blows over without causing much trouble and the unders is cleared early in the 3rd quarterRandom thought, but…
There’s been a conversation I’ve been stewing over for a while.
At our neighbourhood Christmas party, I got into a long chat with a bloke who works as one of the main strategists for one of the most popular betting companies in Australia.
He said when it came to AFL, the biggest exposure his company has is with overs/unders bets, in particular with respect to the weather. Ie. often the people setting the odds don’t bother to (or don't have the ability to) factor in crazy winds and rain into their over/under odds. The idea being if you know a sudden storm is about to hit halfway through the first q (for example), you bet on the unders.
It’s an interesting idea that got me thinking that there could be a worthwhile approach in sharing realtime weather info between likeminded folks in different states who are interested in overs/unders AFL bets. Tassie games in particular could be amazing for it, given the variability of the weather.
Anyway, given I live in NSW, I might fool around with this idea for GWS and Swans home games for a few rounds to see if there's something to it.
Very good thinking Mav, was going to back LDU the last two years but held back because I didn't think he was quite ready, now that he's gotten fitter and more games under his belt, this year he is going to surprise a lot of non North Melbourne people. George without doubt is the guy I've been thinking about as well as Colby. LDU is $31 for the Brownlow, while Rising star is currently not listed on the TAB.LDU for the Browlow into Wardlaw for the Rising star. Paying over 200.
Worth it for the early payout after they both blitz in the early rounds.
The north trifecta, LDU brownlow, Wardlaw rising star, and Larkey coleman is paying $2255.00Very good thinking Mav, was going to back LDU the last two years but held back because I didn't think he was quite ready, now that he's gotten fitter and more games under his belt, this year he is going to surprise a lot of non North Melbourne people. Second start on a good track over an unsuitable distance, an okay run, being by Lonhro, he needs more ground. Owned by Simon Zahra racing, J. Docherty, G S T brothers, J Laming, Off power road and D Murkies & Mustangs. I would say all North Melbourne supporters.Sale races today - race 3 number 2 - Shinboner.
