The race for top 4

The race for the top 4 is starting to heat up, below is the draw of the remaining teams, including games at homes and vs another top 4 contender.

It seems to me, of everyone Sydney probably has the hardest draw, whilst each of the others have their advantages.

Collingwood has 7 home games on the run home, even with 5 top 4 contending opponents, they play 4/5 at the MCG.

Eagles have a pretty easy run home and still play another 5 games at home. It’s unlikely they will miss even if they struggle from here

I reckon they have a tough run home after an easy first half of the season. The only away game I see them winning is against Brisbane, but even that's no certainty.

Then Melbourne and GWS might trouble them at home.

I wouldn't count my chickens just yet.

We have to win 6 games to finish top 2 mate, of which 5 are at home. ALso we do play Adelaide oval very well we have won our last 4 games there including a final

And what about your cats? Are you guaranteed to make the 8? Are you going to beat the Tigers twice, Swans, Roos , Demons and Crows. You could loose all those 6 games leaving you well short of the 8

14 & 2 draws, 16, 16, 16, 15 & 1 draw, 16 wins have been the last 6 seasons of the 4th placed team.

We could get in with 15, we'll probably get in with 16, we will get in with 17. I don't think we'll go 10-1 again but I reckon 5-7 wins from 11 is within our capabilities.

We are not going to win every game but we must have that attitude of giving our best and wanting to win. There are some testing games coming up. Sydney at the SCG is first up, lets tackle one game at a time.

They had no trouble with GWS at Spotless in Round 8 while missing Nic Nat, Shuey and McGovern so beating them in Perth should be expected.

They also still get to play Essendon & Bulldogs at home + a derby and 2 games at Adelaide Oval will hold absolutely no fears for them.
