I can tell you guys that this man is the real deal. Very impressive individual. Apparently came across well in the stage one interview. Alan Richardson has built up a considerable reputation for his work with young footballers through his time at both Collingwood, leading their player development program, and the Western Bulldogs as assistant coach/development coach. Now at Essendon, the Bomber youngsters have come from easy beats to a competitive unit very quickly.

Thoughts.....

no way: it'd be way too confusing having two Richos at the club, so he'd probably want to get rid of the real richo ASAP. :D

does anyone else get the taste of smokey bbq & bacon chips in their mouth when they read the word "smokey"?

Considering how well publicised its been how ordinary we are at developing youth , no arguemnets from me either there ... he would no doubt be pretty high on our radar considering his rep .

But can he handle the responsibility of the main gig on his shoulders ?

This is what they will have find out

I'm up for any one that just goes about their work with little fan fare after the last 8 years of razzle dazzle look at me types. I just want the process to be un effected by the emotion of a few good wins in the last rounds by a very talented young side not given a chance by Wallace.

I totally agree TT0055.

The "process" must allow everyone to be on equal footing. Jade has been great but who is to say that the others could not have been better?

seems like a viable prospect for sure. it is an interesting race for the job. Rawlings (who has been impressive), hinkley, hardwick and richardson all seem to be good options.

He is our forward line coach at the moment and our structure inside 50 has been a major weakness for us. Good at developing young players but not sure on his skills as a coach.

Welcome to the board .... ALAN.

Just joking. I think that we just need to pcik the best candidate even if they arent the biggest name. Look at Ross Lyon for example. Wasnt exactly highly rated but boy is he coaching well
