One thing I have to commend him on is his physicality in the contest - it has improved 10 fold since his first game in 2015. That improvement has significantly opened up the rest of his game. He's not an easy matchup because he can pinch hit inside on the ball, has the aerobic capacity to run both ways, and knows how to drift forward to kick a goal.

Forget the squad, he would currently be in my All Australian team. When you add him into the on-ball brigade with Boak, Wines, Drew, Butters and Duursma (as a pinch hitter), suddenly our midfield isn't so one-paced and has a bit more class about it.
Agree, this is very noticeable. When interviewed after the game, he reiterated again how the major difference to his game is just confidence; I've got no doubt that his lack of physicality early on was due to this, now he knows he belongs he has the presence and happy to crack in and throw his weight around. He is super comfortable under pressure now and just executes flawlessly each time with an opponent breathing down his neck, no more kick and hopes. Rarely gets caught in the packs, very pleasing to see.

Coaches deserve a lot of credit for building this confidence, in another system he could have easily been a 20 gamer and never heard of again.

Must be a top 3 B&F lock and has to be an AA chance; some stiff competition this year, a lot of players have had huge years. Another couple 30+ disposal games to finish the season off should have him in the conversation, at least for the squad of 40.

If Karl isn't named on the wing of the All-Australian team and instead it's ****ing Touk Miller and Jack Macrae I will ****ing riot. He has been absolutely sublime all season and should be second in our best and fairest in my opinion.

missed two relatively easy goals, that's the difference between the best 22 in the comp and the next 50... still yet to be a top line player. Sorry

ah yes, missing 2 goals in a 95 point drubbing of Carlton rules him out as a top player after kicking several ****ing incredible goals and playing at a consistently elite level across a 22 game season and rarely going missing despite being a mainly outside player, that's a shit take dude

Not the two today in isolation, he regularly misses those on the move from 40-55m. His body of work has been fantastic and definitely top three in our B&F, with Wines and Aliir. But top three for us doesn't make one elite - just makes him better than his team mates.

7 clearances, 3 centre clearances, 10 inside 50s, 11 score involvements.

I thought Karlos was quiet yesterday but heck that’s a big game.

edit: I missed his 651 metres gained
