I was surprised at Boak's fire last night. Played some angry footy. Went after Berry who tried the faux tough guy act on Houston after the bump.

Played desperate, maybe for the first time since those magnificent Skippers games early in Ken’s reign, maybe he knows his time is near and this is the best opportunity he has had and the gravity of success holds on one’s resume?

In 13 and 14 he regularly kicked important goals. That seems to have come back

By no means our worst tonight but directly cost multiple goals and looked cooked at times with his disposal. Not Dixon cooked by any means but for his position, somewhat cooked at the most important part of the season. Find an off field role and manage/limit his games and time on ground very closely. It's not like he's reaching some sentimental milestone game early next season. If he retires, he retires.

Curious case of Travis Boak. Fitness wise still up to it, ball disposal decision making and trade mark side step lacking. Modern day game gone past him- there will be an influx of oppo coaches putting their 187cm+ athletic players on him and taking boak to full forward next year. Probably could impact as a sub type player but would that be as he truly wants to be remembered - just making up the numbers
