Hello to all Roys !!!
This week we have a (hopefully) really good match thread, against the Swamprats. There has been a good recent (and a bit spammy) rivalry between the two sides, culminating in this epic S25 Grand Final Thread...

Which of course we won, due to the incomparable fitzroybowiedog in a Deestroy Medal winning performance....
This week we are also playing for the honour of the Fatty Lumpkin Medal. This is awarded to one player on each side, who participates in the spirit of fun, friendship and fair play - as outlined/explained by FBD - taken from last years match thread.
So - please join in this one and enjoy - even if you aren't a frequent poster, this should be a good example of how much fun a match thread should be.
Secondly - it's important that you familiarise yourself with the following.

It has been posted in here (on the last page I think) - but we've had some casualties already across the league from people pushing this too far. Please don't be one of them. Keep it fun and clean, particularly in the way we treat others and not posting images that are offensive to others. Ok - that might mean we need to stop posting the ladder in a few weeks time, but we'll just have to rise above these challenges..
Finally, following on from our good win on the weekend, some internal research conducted by myself has identified the root cause of our brief form slump. Milestone games. We lost in Round 6 (Mobbs 400th) and Round 7 (Mobbs 400th Part 2 - The Revengening). So from here on, there will be no mention of milestone games until the end of the season.
So under no circumstances should there be any congratulations directed at royboy2 - who reaches the 300 game milestone this week, or Mooch - who hits the 200 game milestone for the club. Double dodecahedron punishments for anyone who mentions this in any way, shape or form......

Bespoke Barrels Award - Round 7 vs Royals - aka 'Oh shit, I forgot for a few minutes and look what happened'
In the Round 7 Heritage Round, we battled on and off the field with the Royals. Sadly our attempt to redeem ourselves after our shock loss in Mobbs 400th backfired, going down in the on field contest.
But in our ongoing endeavour to reward quality posting and contributions to the match threads, we heard great things from the Roys faithful about CakeEater , some rumours and murmurings about Barrels (seriously, again !!) and repeated congratulations for the eventual winner - GreyCrow !!
Congratulations GreyCrow - you are the proud winner of the Round 7 Bespoke Barrels Award, we look forward to further encounters and the right to redeem ourselves on field...
Please pick up your award, preferably before the next match - preferably to be shared amongst your colleagues, preferably before you take the field....
