Everyone’s favourite British, chess-loving pacifist rodent has starred in S30. An active , enthusiastic contributor around the site across a variety of contexts including The Rising Star awards /threads , ChippyBet, Discord nights , Team Light captaincy , Match Thread OPs , Discord Games and Only Connect Nights , he always manages to liven things up whether it’s through Chipmunk Cheater , Positive News or good old nerdy Gatecrashing.

Behind the scenes , he is a reliable source of support and assistance and does not hesitate to overfill his cheeks with as many nuts as possible. After such an impressive offseason and season, it is difficult to believe that this is Chip’s first complete season - but it fair to say that the league is lucky to have him and richer because of his contributions. Congratulations to Chipmunk on his 11th place finish and top 20 debut this season and we look forward to even bigger and better things from this true Rising Star in the coming seasons.

Incoming Administrator NaturalDisaster just keeps on keeping on in the beez MVP counts. This is now his 6th consecutive top 25 ranking, and he vaults into the top 15 of all time with a career total of 3518 votes. He has always been a strong match thread poster, and he continued that tradition this season averaging 71 posts for the Warriors. He also continued his stewardship of the mid-season survey and dished out all the pies. His work for SoO, alongside TheInjuryFactory, has not gone unnoticed either.

ND finished 6th in this award in S27, and has been a dominant presence around the league, with his work as moderator, poster and presence in all facets of the league leading to him being voted as the next leader of the league. We can expect to see a lot more of NaturalDisaster in these rankings over the next few seasons…

Kicking off the top 10 is the Gold City Royals stalwart, Marlowe. One of three remaining players since their inception into the league, Marlowe has a laundry list of achievements in the Sweet FA, including a beez medal of his own from way back in S18. On top of this he has made the All-SFA squad multiple times, captained the Royals for multiple seasons in a row in the early twenties, dropped out of the league for a few seasons from 26 but made his way back in 29, claiming a BnF for his trouble, and just this season notched up his 200th Sweet FA match.

Marlowe averaged 37 posts per match this season, hitting reply over 600 times, and got involved with team #darkside in the beyondblue charity match amongst other media ventures. A champion of the league, his top 10 finish was certainly well deserved after an impressive season on, and off the qooty field.

Congratulations, Marlowe..

Coming in at 9th place is the East Side Hawks rookie sensation, Milhouse. In what was an outstanding debut season for Bangers, he was heavily involved in match threads from the get-go averaging 72 posts from his first 10 outings. From rounds 11-16 was where this fine young man found his mojo, averaging a whopping 140 posts and really spreading himself across the league getting involved in media, and Vice-captaining the light mode squad in the Dark V Light charity event supporting BeyondBlue. He ventured out into the podcast world joining Tigerturbulance in the Dark V Light special, and backed it up by having his arse scorched in the hot seat in the very next instalment. But it doesn’t stop there for the young tyro, as he was then the brains behind the mock Sweet FA draft, which had over 70 watchers as a media piece and significant buy-in from across the league.
I can only imagine this will be one of many achievements in this young mans career, and he has been an outstanding addition to the East Side Hawks, and the competition.
