Guy rang up said it had nothing to do with anything but how we acts on the field, then goes on to say at the end of call it doesn't help how he acts in the media either.

Well that makes sense to me, he boos him because of what he does on the field but the way he acts off the field makes some people dislike him too and may be a reason for the booing. He's not a well liked person on or off the field.

The preface of the ONLY reason was what made me laugh, can't remember the bloke saying anything different to any other player off the filed in regards to football matters though.

Wow, that was seriously embarrassing radio !
Might be time for some therapy for the evenings presenter.

i would agree and like your post, but i cant find any explanation as to what happened in your post

What he does off the field is help 100's of kids and disadvantaged

thats fine. but robert allenby does a heap of charity work. he's still a knob. im not saying goodes is a knob.

im not saying that gilbert

Allenby is a disgrace, he's done it for years, abusing people. He has a charity golf day once a year, good on him, but talk to people in golf, he is a complete arseh*le.

i do talk to a lot of people in golf, and yes he's a grumpy surly knob. he does more than 1 charity golf day. everyone agrees.

people can be great family people, nice person, great bloke, helps people, but depending on who you are speaking to he person can still be a dick

Winning a Masters or the British Open at St Andrews gets a lot of mainstream glory. But does winning an Open at Carnoustie get more cred amongst hardened golfers?

opinions about st andrews is varied and complex. its the adam goodes issue of courses. over rated by some i know who played there, others are trapped adn spell bound by its history. i think an open win at SA is held in such esteem that even if it became a pitch n putt, it would still be elite.

wow. my first foray into finey goodes discussion. strong argument that its a lot of PCers getting involved. and callers agree. very much in the if you wanna boo goodes, do so.

bedford you should call in and defend your player!
I am mate, finey is right on this, but I have something to add

As a golfer with some knowledge. If you could choose, would you much rather win a Open at SA or Carnoustie? Why would you choose one over the other?
