By sheer coincidence I happened to have turned on the radio about 5mins before his rant started, hoping to hear Brett Phillips updates for Wimbledon..

....suffice to say I will not be responding to that rant in any way except to say this..

When we (I) go on forums such as this and give our opinions, we do tend to forget that some of these people may have kids old enough to search out anything to do with their father etc.

....from that angle I apologise to Finey's kids if anything I wrote upset them. He is their dad, and no-one likes to see/hear anything negative about one's parent.

I'm struggling to remember the specifics, but it was the most significant and longest mention/spray about this thread by a million miles. Spewin' I wasn't listening intently!

I'll just spit out the fragments I can recall, but the adjectives may not have been the ones Finey used.

He said it was the first time he'd looked at this thread for 18 months. He read Macmum's posts that bagged him and called for his job.
He either said that his kids had read it, or "imagine if my kids read it", which is a big difference, so don't quote me; then he said, "how could I explain to my 12-year-old why someone on the internet wants me to lose my job? Then she more or less said I was ugly, saying that I have a good head for radio"

He said things like:

"It's horrible. Relentless. Disgraceful. Why does this person have such a huge problem with me? It's so personal. I have a family. How could I support my family if I was sacked, as this person wants?"

Then Peaky suggest he take legal action.
Finey then got a bit crude, saying something like, "if it's a woman, then maybe she has some sort of unresolved sexual desire issue with me."

Anyway, that was the gist of it.

Pleeeeease, MacMum, fill in the gaps. I have no life, so I NEED to know.

For the record..

I have never ever sent abusive txts to him or complained to management about him. Not once.

Only my posts on here. I don't do twitter or Facebook. This is the only "social media" I participate on.

understand almost everyone in the footy media have conflicts of interest....but recently scott lucas has been front and centre. vickery and lewis taylor.

should player managers hold positions at the station commenting on team lists, players etc when they themselves are managing some of them? also said only two things are correct in newspapers - date and the name.

I love Turfy but I reckon a little bit goes a long way with him. If he were on permanently would need to be in a trio and not a duo. Works beautifully on Footy Fix, Off the Bench, etc.
