Tony and the boys seem to be back on WA tv, Tuesdays at 10:30, not sure about the other states. Would anyone have an idea as to what season it would be?

The episode previews they show are for the 5th season - the new one.

I've seen the first 8 episodes of series 5 (god bless the net) - it's a pretty good season so far, strong episodes but lacks direction (at this point, a strong finish wouldn't surprise me though.)

Steve Buscemi is a strong cast inclusion as Soprano Cousin Tony Blundetto. Fresh out of prison from a 15 year stretch, things have changed since Tony B was last out - very interesting character, something a bit different (no he's not just a Ralphie/Richie replacement) and if your as big a Buscemi fan as me, you'll follow his character closely.

Also watch out for veteran Mafia movie actors Robert Loggia as Feech La Manna, an old capo coming back from a 20 year stretch to find there is a lot to adjust to (great character) and Frank Vincent (Goodfellas "Go get your ****ing shine box!", Casino) as grizzly newly free New Yorker Philly Leotardo.

All these jailbirds are apparantly inline with real life - numerous Mafia figures are coming to the end of their jail time after the RICO Mafia crack down of the early 80s.

All that and all your favourites (cept Ralph of course!) - Paulie in fine form and some great scenes with Uncle Junior and Tony's new brother-in-law Bobby Bacala.

Great stuff, don't miss it - if anyone has any questions about the new season (non spoiler stuff) I'll happily answer them. :)

I was looking forward to the new series............BUT now , with Buscemi , Loggia ad Frank Vincent in it.............i am NOW hanging out to watch it :D

Loved it. PMSL with Christopher and Paulie's "Moment" with the waiter. Should be good when a few more of the new characters get into the story a bit more.

Good episode but I'd like to know where Tony is living now. Bit tough that Fuvio is on the way out. You'd reckon Camilla could help his cause a bit more than she showed last night. Must be ****ed off at him for going back to Naples. If I was Bobby I would have married Jo Jo ahead of Janice. Looking forward to Buscemi coming into the show.

Tony is living in his mother's house as Janice is now living with Bobby.

Furio had no chance, if he was still in Jersey, he'd be dead, no matter what Carmela said. I loved the "He had coffee Tony!" "Yeah, and now the coffee machine sucks - how you like them apples?" Classic line.

Buscemi's debut is next week.

On a side note, AJ will never cut it in the business - "Mommy! Mommy!"

Loved the Chris-Paulie stuff, those 2 have great chemistry, you just know they'd do each other over at the drop of a hat. Poor Waiter - "Chrissy, he's f*cked!" :D

Also making his debut in a couple of weeks is music legend Frankie Valli - he plays a New York capo.

I loved the bit with Tony and the Doc.

"There are two Tony Sopranos - I want to show you the other one."

Unfortunately they're both violent sociopaths...

He asks her why she won't go out with him and promises not to get angry if she tells me.

After a few home truths he storms out - "F*cking c*nt b*tch!!"

Charming and nice to see the Sopranos back!!

New season is going to be great!

:)

Another great episode which again shows that there are no charcaters in the show other than Dr Melfi with any redeeming featrues (the killing of the waiter was horrifying)

AJ has got to the be the biggest loser character ever on TV.

Loved the DR and Toni dream sequence however brief

That' can't have been her real body, surely??

speaking of reality - carmela has some hut buns for her age too!

'Tone' cant handle the mirror being shown to his face can he? He thought he had the Doc big time!

ChrisTOFFER and Pauly was classic. I loved them reminiscing about the snow episode and how it was the greatest story of all time until ChristTOFFER tells them how Pauly carried on. That was a funny epsiode that lost in the snow one.

Should be interesting to see how the Adriana wiring from last season goes. She could be swimming with Pussy by the end of series five.

Gaso

Well Steve Buscemi made his debut in last nights episode - what did you all think of his character?

I think his "going straight" story is interesting and something a bit different.

It's good they didn't do another Ralph/Richie character with Tony B., as much as I loved both of those characters it would have been a bit stale.

Gives Buscemi a chance to make the character his own too, he is such an excellent actor.

apparently this series isn't as good as previous ones, but it's still entertaining and compelling for me - right after the apprentice too, what a night tuesday has become all of a sudden!

Line of the night belonged to Johnny Sack whilst sitting on the can and talking to Tony.

"Yeah, ****ing little Carmine...and after he's spent the last five years in Florida fixing ****ing wet t-shirt competitions!".
