In Affectionate Remembrance of the Shinboner spirit
which died at the Etihad Stadium 12 August 2018
Deeply lamented by a small circle of sorrowing friends and acquaintances
R.I.P.
N.B.—The body will be cremated and the ashes taken to the Town Hall Hotel.

Marley Williams should get weeks for that - or a tattoo of a tub of spreadable butter

Will it be an equally iconic moment in sporting history?

the video doesn't show it all. He stayed down while one of this team mates battles against 2 bulldogs. From memory we ran away with the ball.

Marley Williams could'nt sum up a side any better. Big tough guy when blokes aren't looking or not expecting contact, but when he knows the contact is coming and needs to puts his head over the ball, he poo's his pants.
Marley sums up North?
Do go on....

Doesn't take much to get the Bulldogs supporters up and trolling.

Well you have first hand experience of suffering the pain of getting knocked out of finals by the Doggies

I’m surprised you haven’t got over it by now, but I see you are still obsessed with all things related to the dogs.

I’ll see if I can find you the number of a bridge construction company

This event turned the game. The ball must have been two metres where he was prone and a goal resulted. What happened next was interesting. A north player (sorry not certain who) went over to Marley and gave him a spray and Marley forcibly pushed him away with a shove to the upper body.

Marley's lack of enthusiasm was the pivotal point in this game where North were slowly expanding their lead overtime to a close to unassailable position. If you read https://themongrelpunt.com/afl/2018/8/12/western-bulldogs-v-north-melbourne-the-good-bad-and-ugly * you will understand my position that the spirit is gone. A 28 points in the lead, cruising and in control of the game. This single event turned the entire game and this is the reason why I believe the spirit is dead. Could you ever imagine Boomer Harvey doing this? Could you imagine Archer, Dench, Martyn, Glendinning, Shimma... the list goes on. We use to play tough hard games against the neighbours - no longer so.

I am sorry this does not appease the mindset of everyone, however I believe that under Brad Scott, that when finals were any easy win away, the weak underbelly was shown... and he called it "business as usual".

* At this stage of the game, North were leading by a very handy 28 points. They were in control and looking like winners. This was the turning point; the crossroads of the game. Marley Williams should’ve committed, kept his eyes on the ball and made it his. If he couldn’t make it his, he should’ve halved the contest. If he couldn’t halve the contest, he should’ve tried to chase and salvage something – maybe he could have pressured Dickson as he gathered and ran toward goal?

North beat the Bulldogs in a tough scrappy game less than two months ago.

Your not very funny, and have to put thoughts in my mind to make your point.
Rubbish post.
