I think a lot of anti stadium folk will be surprised we have attracted a good amount of interest because I know many have said we don't have any hope of any investors wanting to come on board. I have had people say to me they'res no hope any investor would come on board because they won't get anything out of it.

What are you referring to where the AFL has said its willing to pitch in more money? Can you point us to quotes or a source? I think the $15m is pretty firm

Yeah can't say I recall the AFL ever hinting at giving more money. Regardless, they were sure to avoid any contractual obligation, per the Club Funding and Development Agreement:

21.4 Overall funding responsibility
Subject to clause 19.2 (Construction Commitments), and provided that the conditions of all components of the funding commitments referred to in clause 21.2 (Funding commitments) are met, the Tasmanian Government agrees that it is solely responsible for the costs to develop and construct the Stadium, including any costs which exceed the Estimated Stadium Build Cost.

There's a Goods Shed in my town on an old railway line and it was converted into a craft beer Cafe.
I'm fact, the entire strip was turned into modern restaurants and cafes.

Would something like that be a possibility perhaps? Creating a foodie precinct right next to or slightly within the stadium boundaries?

Thats to keep the teams afloat, nothing to do with the stadiums. The AFL own the club licenses, not the stadiums.
The stadium is for more than just AFL football anyway.

It’s as good as dead mate. I’m anticipating that 1.0 will start to gain a lot more momentum after the designs are released in the next week or so.

Designs could be out any day now,maybe even today,It going to be very interesting to see what they have come up with. I wonder if it sway some of the anti stadium people at all because at least 50% of the population seem to be against it unfortunately.

At the end of the day though, it doesn’t really matter what the population think on this particular issue. If people felt that strongly about it, then the Liberals would have lost the election. We elect parliamentarians to make decisions on our behalf. Liberal and Labor will both support it now, so that will see it through.

Polticians will go with the Majority if they think they will get elected this time or next time.

Just got home from work and checked to see if the stadium designs are in and unfortunately not yet,do people know the exact day this week they will be made public?
