The local paper The Hobart 'Muckery'. The writer, David O'byrne is an independent in the Tasmanian Parliament. He was in Labor but fell victim to political infighting so moved to the cross benches. Also President of the Southern Football League, in Southern Tasmania.
He was interviewed on local ABC radio this morning. He was quite measured in his comments but made very good points to both attack the Government for its poor handling of the whole issue & the somewhat questionable report by Gruen. He was adamant of the need & importance of getting this project of stadium & the attached conference centre done for the community, for now & for generations to come.

Yes, aware of this! I was after a source for the claim that Nick Gruen worked for Paul Lennon

What's with people trying to re-write O'Byrne's history?

He, his stupidity, his ego, and his dick were the author of his demise, not the Labor Party.

We could quibble about them blocking his return to being an endorsed Labor Party candidate, but it was pretty naive of him to ever think that could happen.
