If you look at the Suns lineup, they are at a stage where North would hope to be in a few years.

They have taken a long time to get going and are now reaping the rewards of some stability on and off field. They drafted Rowell and Anderson 1 and 2 and have waited for them to develop and built a side around them. They are now 23. Most of their side is 20-24. With Touk Miller and Jarrod Witts for experience.

We’ve just begun our rebuild with Sheezel, Wardlaw last season and now McKercher and Duursma. LDU is our Miller and Larkey is our Ben King.

Mac Andrew looks incredible as a 20 year old key defender. Hopefully Will Dawson by 20 can be getting some games at afl level. Comben can be our Ballard.

We will add some more young talent this season and continue to build. I think we will be ok.

If you consider the Rowell/Anderson draft as their ground zero and the Sheezel/Wardlaw draft our equivalent, then we are three years behind them and that means we should expect to be where Gold Coast is right now by 2027.
