Are they really getting cold showers and thrashings?

I don't think this thread is having anywhere near the desired effect. I don't know about other Eagles supporters, but I'm finding it pretty amusing that Roos would be experimenting with his team's travelling arrangements prior to one of the most important games of the year.

Personally I think they came over early so they could have their main training session on Subi. Getting used to the big ground would have to be their main priority.

i think you're too smart for this thread :D

And I think we West Aussies are pretty generous letting opposition teams have a run on Subi to acclimatise.

Can't wait for this game. The Swans and Eagles usually match up pretty well, so I'm hoping for a fast, intense match.

mmmm...Finals!

I agree. this is the treatment eagles and freo have had in melbourne...

refused access to train on or even inspect the telstra dome
made to sit on foldout chairs in geelong while umpires used the dug out
club song not played before the game in geelong
Coaches box blinded by the sun forcing the coach to coach from the sideline
hard slippery surface placed in front of the bench at telstra dome.

i wonder if we are allowed to inflict this on those visiting subi?

Hmmmmm, interesting title to this thread. Just been reading another thread where sitings of Swan's players in enemy territory have been reported; at the casino, at the movies, I just saw them on the telly enjoying a little body surf at Cott beach........Acclimatising or vacationing???

They always go for swims during the week and after games. They are based in Sydney after all.

And their advantage is that they didn't play a hard game last weekend. Makes sense to come in fresher than the Eagles after their tougher game.

I saw matty nicks at the movies last night with another player (didnt know who he was probaly one of their blue collar players) and he copped a bit of abuse by the punters when he was getting his ticket checked. I hope this is happening all over perth. If you see them just yell ******** at them!!!!

Oooo tough guys. Abusing Nicks - that will really affect the TEAM on Friday. Wonder how tough you'd be if you saw Baz on the street? You'd be digging your nob back out with a spoon you peanut. Still, keep yelling (no doubt from the safety of your sisters P76), I'm sure all your doing is getting the boys nice and revved up.

If I was an Eagles supporter I would be just a little bit worried.

Does this constitute an aggressive move by the Swans hierarchy ?

If I was a "West Chokers" player I may also be a little peeved that the opposition have a couple of extra days to chill out and drop down to checkout the surface of subi oval when ever they feel the urge.

I hope the Swans have good security on their food though. It would not be the first time that a champion had literally been poisoned in enemy territory.

Be afraid West Choke, be very afraid. The Swans have a good chance of destroying your self image this week and getting your 2005 finals series off to a very very sad start.

IMHO the West chokes have a lot more to lose in this game than the Swans.

Enjoy the pressure.
Well we had plenty of chances to choke, but we didnt :D

I dunno about you, but the embolism that I had on slow percolation throughout the game threatened to choke me in that last bloody quarter! How long was it! I spent the last five minutes screaming at the time keepers to "BLOW THE BLOODY SIREN!"
