I don’t mind the Fuji to be honest
Yes the Japanese do a nice whisky...That Fuji is very smooth and honeyed on the palette...I also enjoy their Nikka Coffey as well...
That is the distillery that turned me onto Japanese Whisky!

Tried any Tassie whiskys? Sullivan's Cove is supposed to be good but expensive and hard to get a hold of.

Yes...tried Hellyers Road, Shene's, Old Kempton...
Sullivan's Cove has the reputation and is expesive! In fact a lot of Tassy whiskys are expensive!
I like Shene's!
