We could join up with Indonesia who also have a shit ton of critical minerals for EV manufacture, plus a massive market (the supposed main reason we don't build cars here anymore) and access to the rest of Asia, then be building super lightweight, efficient, stronger and safer than anything else on the market, hemp plastic EV's a few years from now.
But we're waaaay too smart for that!

Nah, FWIW, the outskirts of Mendoza and the far west of Argentina generally are one of the safest and nicest parts of the world, IMO.
The east of the country is a mess, the west is comparatively untroubled and just goes about its ag business.
You wouldn't want to be running a working farm, just retire and kick back. Can get a steak and a beer for like $6-7.
