Contraversial for a Gen X but I would actually think about buying the new redesigned (2025) camry.
Never had one but apparently the new hybrid have the same power as the old V6 and sip at just 4.3l per 100km on city driving (verified). Even if it averaged out at 5.0l per 100km, with a 50 litre tank you'd be getting 1000km between refilling.
Would probably last a fair while too, unlike the Chinese rubbish.
I think I'm getting old.

I've got a 96 disco im doin up to go travel but i have an option on a caddy diesel and the fuel price is makin me lean toward caddy it goes 3 times as far p/l as the disco
