I always viewed the Stars as the South-Eastern team (MCG) and the Renegades as the North-Western team (Etihad). They so should have gone with that kind of rivalry format from the get-go. Would've created much more intensity.

So, being from the East, I aligned myself with the Stars. Having Warney, then this year Quiney, Hodge and Maxwell was all just a bonus.

Poor old Cam White. Has anyone taken a quicker fall from (T20) grace quicker?

That's the way I saw it as well. I don;t think anyone is truly passionate about the Stars or the Renegades. At least I hope not.
White was victim of being made Shield captain at such an early age. Wasn't allowed to develop as a cricketer and had to develop as a captain first.

At least Lars can handle his piss. Spose it would be nice to sit down with Hetfield and have a cup of tea and talk about baseball.

Cliff Burton for the win. every. *******. day. \m/

Bass solo take 1 . Yeah , gotta love cliff . Just a gritty ol dude that loved slapping it hard ! No arguements there.

Metallica died when Cliff died and lars Ulrich is technically a very average drummer and bloke

Johnson will do the donkey work in India but won't get a look in in England if Siddle, Pattinson, Bird, Cummins and Starc are all fit.
Others I would play ahead of Johnson:

Hazlewood, Coulter-Nile, Richardson, Cutting, McKay, Faulkner*, Butterworth*, Henriques*, Abbott, Christian*, Maxwell*, McDermott, Putland, Bollinger, Herrick, McDonald*, Sheridan*, Hastings*, Thornley*

Spinners I would play ahead of Lyon:

Beer, Krejza, Boyce, Doherty, Smith, O'Keefe, Zampa, Maxwell, Warne, Warner, M.Clarke.

Keepers I would pick ahead of Wade for his primary job of keeping wicket:

All except Haddin.

*based on the "Johnson is an all-rounder" theory LMAO...

Depends if we're talking ODI or Test. For Test, Johnson form prior to this series, completely agree, but he's changed his bowling action and he's a completely different type of bowler. Deserves his space no worries but he'll have to compete with Bird (firing), Pattinson (form strike bowler but injured), Siddle (work horse, will never be dropped), Hilfenhouse (hasn't shown much but is the form swing bowler), Starc (proved how dangerous he can be). I didn't think Johnson had it in him to return to the squad but he's proved me wrong. For ODI, I don't see how you can fit a Starc or a Johnson in the same team but they won tonight so maybe you can, I guess Johnson has taken the spot of Lee in the squad.

Lyon you're completely off the mark, will be our spinner until he retires and will only get better, going to take hundreds of wickets. Get on him. I personally don't see how Doherty is getting a game ahead of Lyon or Beer in ODI but the selectors will back the incumbent. Everyone else you mentioned is shit bar Maxwell who we'll see play in India so we have two front line spinners.

Watson (I know you haven't mentioned him but just saying) will never play tests again.

Greg Williams couldn't kick more than 25 m. Lars can drum. He may not be as technically good as say the drummer from Def Leppard but he produces better music.

I caught up with an old mate last night. He's a mad blues supporter. He told me that at Christmas he had to put a Richmond doona cover under the tree from Santa for his 10 year old son.

Yesterday was a good day.

How did his kid choose the Tigers?

<-- not a Richmond fan so ban me if you want but I felt like doing this.

Oh, we're from Tiger land,
A fighting fury we're from Tiger land,
in any weather you will see us with a grin,
risking head and shin,
if we're behind then never mind,
we'll fight and fight and win.

For we're from Tiger land,
we'll never weaken 'til the final siren's gone,
Like the Tigers of old,
we're strong and we're bold,
for we're from Tiger (yellow and black),
for we're from Tiger land!

Damn I saw your club and lyrics, thought it was going to be some witty piss take of our song then I saw the last sentence:(

Ron the Bear? Don't sayit's true...
That was my first thought so I looked him up and he was online tonight still.
Really sad especially since we don't know who it was:(

Thanks guys. Ron was my girlfriend's mother's bestfriend's partner - convoluted, I know but truly closer than an uncle. Richmond supporter through thick and thin. Sad he didn't live to see your rise.

That's really sad mate. Sorry to hear.

Grigg left Carlton for one reason and one reason only - Ratts told him he wasn't guaranteed a senior game each week and he had to work harder on the training track. Grigg got the shits, and wanted to leave to play for a club who he could get a senior game each week. No doubt he has improved since he has been at Richmond, but I can't think of anyone I would replace him with in our best 22.

and if you ever forget why you hate Carltank so much:

Funny how you Tiger fans are continually drawn to anything Carlton. We validate you. Your spotty history - even the short patches of success - has always been tied to us, one way or the other. Basically, without us you don't exist. You are acknowledged only because of your parasitic relationship with the strength and success of the Carlton Football Club.
