No matter how many times you tell youself Guns, posting on BF isn't working. Took me a while to realise this, but i eventually got it. :D

My day off and I am working 13 hours including a meeting with the banner's Aust heads! Great. Will blast them
 
My next travel destination is one of my favourite places in the world... Australia. Will be heading back for Xmas and am thoroughly looking forward to it.

Will go to Sri Lanka for a look early next year and head to England for a conference a month later. Hope to get to LA to see my girl at some stage as well. Other than that, the Cambodge region is all I'll see for the next year.

Oh, what a journey that would have been. I've been wanting to do that for ages. I'd come off the Tibetan plateau years ago, eventually heading into Pakistan - of which the Hunza Valley is the most beautiful place I've seen on earth - but decided to go North instead.

Never got back there and don't think I'll be heading into Pakistani tribal areas any time soon either.

I was arrested and detained for 5 hours in a Kashgar police/military compound about 10 years ago. Very scary! How about those sultanas in Turpan. I never knew there were so many varieties. You gotta love produce when you travel.
 
HBF, happy to provide info on my experiences. No haven't been to Hawaii, not on my to do list at this stage.

Since being over here, I have covered 32 countries.

Therefore, All of Scandinavia, all of Western Europe, and a few scattered in Eastern Europe.

Africa, for those that are game...Egypt, All of Western Africa, Sth Africa and Namibia

I'm leaving Asia till last as that is closer to home.

Next Year, Sth America.

Work Xmas do so maybe messy

I was in KL at the beginning of October for 3 nights, we stayed at The Royal Bintang Hotel...it was good for us, had a pool and perfect location, not the same standard as say a Sheraton or Hilton, rooms are slightly dated, but still modern...with the dollar at the time the rate was good, we booked from their website direct, don;t take their breakfast, Go for location and a pool...a must after trudging the streets of KL
Wotif.com is a good place to book but charge a fee, and I recommend www.tripadvisor.com a great website with forums and recent reviews from other travellers on hotels, restaurants etc. www.bestflights.com.au have good deals on all sorts. I;m happy to pm you with places to eat, shop etc.
