If it hits the post and bounces back in play - play on!
Not thought through.

So if the kick misses the goal area by a foot you get 1 point, but if you are closer ie. a better kick but you miss the goal area by 2 inches and it goes back into play you get nothing.

Superior attempt at goal but less score.

What about Preliminary Final night 1996 and Lockett has a kick after the siren. Scores are level and all that’s required to send the Swans into the GF is a point. So if he misses by a few feet they win the game but if he is more accurate and hits the goal post and it bounces back into play it’s a draw.

Doesn’t seem fair.

You could argue that if it bounces back in to play from the behind post it could be play on. Obviously that is the case in soccer and other sports but in those sports the post is the outer area of scoring. In Australian Rules the goal posts are not outer area of scoring.

Just dropped in to let you all know that I've heard from a very reliable source that after Dimma's tour de force of the ARC system that the AFL is now strongly favouring overturning of the result. Richmond will fact be playing Geelong this Friday at the MCG.

So no need for that class action now guys. Congrats!!!
Mouth breathing plonker. Having said that, do the afl world a favour and please beat Geelong this week!

There should be a class action against these cronies it’s total bullshit club and fans have been lied to by the afl about having definitive vision that clearly states it’s a behind now they don’t have it as far as I’m concerned I will never attend another afl game this was the most corrupted game I have ever seen
You’ll be there when we win the flag next year. 😍

Don’t want to be mucking around fighting for footballs around posts. Hits a post stop play.

I'd like to think there is a bit of a rivalry developing between the two clubs. On our side at least. With the firepower being added to your lot next season I reckon results are going to continue to be interesting.

I think we're forgetting that Connally was sitting lower than JFK so the so called magic bullet actually travelled in a straight line, just like Lynch's kick, that went up behind the goals appearing over the goal post, not on top of but directly behind it from the front on views.

So the mother*ers ******* lied about having extra vision this seriously needs to be taken to court the afl said they had extra vision now they say they don’t an afl team has to stand up to these cronies and set an example that this s**t and cloak and dagger is not to be tolerated for the club and fans
THIS!!!

"we have extra unseen definitive vision"
